3 Stage Consultation Process
1 - Free Telephone assessment & Fee proposal
Is feng shui right for you? To establish how we can help you, we require a telephone conversation to ask key questions about you and your property. We do not provide email quotations, because we don’t wish to over price or under price our services. We forge life long relationships with our clients because of our personalised service and attention to detail.
2 - Visit to the office/commercial premises
Your feng shui consultant will visit your office, shop or restaurant and start with a quick chat to reaffirm your goals followed by an assessment as follows:
- Sensing the chi of the area surrounding your property – before we look to our compass we like to simply experience your property. How are the roads bringing the traffic to you? Are there any large trees or pylons nearby?
- Walking through your property looking for obstructions, favourable and unfavourable influences, areas to improve etc.
- Taking compass measurements of key leverage points within your property – we use classical Imperial Lo Pan compasses made especially for us in Hong Kong
- Dowsing of the property with copper rods where appropriate – we are looking for underground water and/or unhealthy earth energy, so that we can make sure you don’t spend too much time in the shadow of such uncomfortable vibrations.
- Calculations and Cures – working primarily with compass techniques we will discover the energy hot spots of your property that will re-balance or re-invigorate the “energy circuit”.
- Consultation report – we will provide a brief jargon free report of our findings, sometimes on the day of consultation or within 2 weeks of our visit.
- Date Selection - we also provide auspicious dates and times for changes to be made, which increase the likelihood of the desired effect.
- Ba Zi – where location, hour and date of birth are provided we will look at the basic horoscope of the business teams as pertaining to the feng shui influences. In some particularly difficult cases we will open the full horoscope to see which time period the client is in and what feng shui remedies can help.
- Staff compatibility – using the year of birth of key team members we can advise on who works well and supports each other and who undermines one another. Who is full of praise to the boss to their face, then talking about them behind their backs?
- Marketing/Branding Strategy – working either with our own marketing and branding specialists or your in-house team, we can advise on using feng shui to choose optimum times to launch new products, design logos, discover your brand, hold press parties etc.
- Wellness Audit – we will ask you if you are interested to have us assess your environmental health and make suggestions for incorporating useful technologies into your office. Our wellness expert Dalia is available on the phone to follow up with you after the feng shui consultation.
- Practicalities – sometimes we cannot access the best energy because there are obstructions such as utilities or neighbouring buildings. In rare cases, a property is so challenging that we will advise you to move out and make recommendations that support you in gathering energy for a decisive new move.
- Homes of Managing Directors/CEOs – it is very likely that the feng shui of the homes of key players in the business are impacting the success, so a feng shui consultation on the main residence of senior staff is highly recommended.
The above process can take 2 to 6 hours for a medium size premises of 600m2. For larger businesses and more complex assignments the process can take up to 3 days or more.
3 – Follow-up included
We ensure our recommendations are realistic and our fee includes free follow up by telephone and email for up to three months. Thereafter we charge £86 per hour + VAT to answer your questions by email or telephone or to carry out site visits. We will charge this in 15 minute slots and invoice you every hour. Please note exceptions can be made in the case of lengthier projects such as refurbishments.
Fees – in the UK you can expect to pay a minimum of £400 + VAT for a small business or home business. Medium size premises start at £600 - £1200 plus VAT depending on number of staff to consider and scope of project. Larger premises start at £3000 plus VAT.
Overseas Fees – we have an extensive network of trusted consultants worldwide, however, feng shui is a very personal service and in some cases clients prefer to have Sarah McAllister visit. For a premium fee Sarah is happy to travel overseas to consult on larger commercial projects and new builds. Recent destinations have included Iran, Italy and UAE. Please contact us for details.
CONSULTATION PREPARATION
Please ensure you have the following ready for your consultant’s visit:
- A4 floorplans of the property and any grounds
- Clear intention for what you wish to achieve
- Dates of birth (and location and hour if possible) of all key players such as managers, directors and team leaders
The floorplans must be to scale – hand drawn is acceptable. OR your consultant can draw them up for an additional fee of £50 + VAT (for a small to medium size property).
