Feng Shui Office Consultations

How can classical Feng Shui advice help your store, salon or business to thrive?

Last week I visited the London offices of a longstanding business Feng Shui office client of mine, who had been enjoying the best few years on record! They have a lovely blend of manufacturing and charitable impact work and are guided by a really lovely CEO who I don't see an awful lot of but have helped him with the Feng Shui of his London home and his holiday home in Ibiza. Anyhow, it inspired me to share more here about how I have seen my Feng Shui office advice literally turn around businesses, and also to give you my top 5 basic Feng Shui business tips. The bespoke advice I give businesses who pay my £000s consultation fees is much more intricate, right down to exact positions for Sonos stereo speakers, precision orientation of the CEO desk, strong location of the CFO and the precise dimensions of custom aquariums! But these basics to follow here can be very helpful.

Keep the entrance clear

Even if you struggle to keep up with processing deliveries you MUST find a way to create a system to keep the first 10 ft or so around the main door clear of clutter and also to then allow the chi to keep circulating through the centre of the premises.

Have plenty of upward growing plants

I love the biophillic trend that is currently very popular, but you must take care not to have too many trailing plants, unless you are a spa or restaurant where people want to relax. Just make sure the plants aren't spiky. The best Feng Shui office plants are Parlour or Areca palms and Devil's Ivy (horrid name but beautifully glossy strong leaves). Plants bring vitality chi to a space - literally living energy. They clean the air as well. And they are relaxing for staff to look at. In shopping malls live greenery is also proven to increase consumer spend!

Make sure CEO has his back covered by a solid wall

Don't make the mistake of putting your desk against the wall then having your back exposed to the centre of the room. This is not very stately at all. It also means you have minimal support. It is much better to have your back supported and a view of the room and the main entrance door into your office space.

Choose a Feng Shui office with high ceilings

I am so glad I gave the go ahead for the current office of the London Feng Shui client I mentioned earlier, as beforehand they had been in the older part of the development with lower ceilings which never sat well with me. Even though this office has its drawbacks it does have lovely high ceilings and great views. This allows for a much more creative atmosphere to flourish. No company is without its politics but I have definitely noticed a much lighter feeling in the people on the whole in this space than previous offices.

Choose an office or premises with views & good natural light

Having a view makes such a difference for creativity and feeling good within your office space. Views of a skyline or parkland allow people to have more emotional perspective as they don't feel subconsciously trapped. Lighting is also so important. This office has great natural daylight too. Natural light is not only a mood booster but also brings more yang chi into a space, vital for commercial success. Even a relaxing spa needs a good balance between darker more relaxing spaces and light bright reception spaces for example.

The above Feng Shui tips really only scratch the surface of what classical Feng Shui can add to your space - we work with various techniques such as Flying Star, Sang Set, Eight Mansions, 64 Kuas and more to assess the best energy spaces at your office, shop or spa salon etc. There are even specialist larger scale techniques to assess larger Feng Shui spaces such as spa hotels, malls, hospitals and even industrial estates!

Then there is the whole Chinese Astrology and Auspicious Date Selection aspect as well, which goes into when to activate water features, when to have promotions or store openings etc. And matching the Chinese Astrology of the CEO (year, month, day and time of birth) to the Feng Shui compass directions in the office. I even help select the office space before purchase or rental.

Feng Shui business testimonials:

Since implementing your suggestions I have seen changes of all sorts. The energy in the office circulates better and the atmosphere is lighter. My office is a very pleasant space to be in and work gets done in a very relaxed manner. With regards to the business, it is now definitely on an upward trajectory, with more sales and better profit margins. The infernal negative spiral I was in has definitely reversed. My personal life has also transformed, as my divorce has finally been agree after 10 years of difficult negotiations and my heart has opened to a new love. Everything is now going wonderfully, and I appreciate this every day and thank you for your help. Things seem to improve further with each passing week!" P Koehli, Morges, Switzerland. (translated from French)

I did the quarterly figures last week, and was really pleased to see that since making the changes you advised to stop the haemorrhage of cash through the business, our outgoings are 40% less!”  Business owner, Surrey (wishes to remain anonymous)

Sarah, can you reverse the feng shui please?!! Since making the changes you advised, we’ve gone from deathly quiet to so busy we are struggling to keep up!!” Hong Kong born client, owner of Briing Design Studio, London

And Feng Shui consultations also work for home based office too:

“Also, more importantly, have to say how much of a difference it has made to alter the position of my desk. Since you did that, what? a month ago? - I've had more offers of work than I have in the past six months and I'm really pleased because I've got nice work lined up for September, which means I can take the summer off with the children and relax. I've also finished off some other work I was doing, a play, and am now in position to send it out which is just great. I'm really quite amazed at the difference. . . . also the house seems calmer and more tranquil. An altogether happier space, which is just lovely. I've just realised, as I write this, that the children have been much, much calmer too, not arguing as much, they seem much more relaxed”. L.M. London

So, the question is, can you afford NOT to have a Feng Shui consultation with me for your office, business or commercial new build etc? Do get in touch for a complimentary 20 min discovery call, so we can find out how Feng Shui might help you.
