Ama’zen’ Grace! Each Day in Life is Training…

After working hard in Tokyo to provide Feng Shui tuition and then Feng Shui consultation on a home and business, I took some time out to visit the amazing city of Kyoto and rather than jam all temples into 2 days, I preferred to adopt a truly Zen like stance and stayed 6 nights with only one foray to Nara just beyond Kyoto and an afternoon river trip. The rest of the time I was to be found gazing into my adorable little private zen garden from my traditional style guesthouse verandah, just grounding and nourishing myself with quiet time and then navigating the bus and tube system (!) and pounding the pavements on foot mostly as I wandered and wondered! It is always a pleasure to me to spend time letting my feet guide me and how everyday occurrences can punctuate the deepest understandings! Having said that, sitting in the Zen gardens at Daisen-in Zen temple was really ama’zen’!! My every cell was resonating very deeply and appreciating the energetic nourishment. And the “words for each day” here were utterly beautiful, brought tears of muddled joy to my eyes and reminded me of the power of each moment. So, thank you to Kyoto – a piece of my heart remains there! Japan replenished my connection to the simple beauty that first inspired me on the “Dragon Path” of the Far East many moons ago. 🙂
