2014 Fast, Dynamic, Year of the Wood Horse

2014 Fast, Dynamic, Year of the Wood Horse

See YOUR 2014 Chinese Animal Fortune Forecast below for the Year of the Wood Horse!

2014 Year of the Wooden HorseWe are in for quite a year! The energy of the horse is dynamic and fast and will likely bring more travel and a quicker pace, whereas 2013 brought sensuality and reflection and hidden messages to the forefront the horse is wild and ready to run forward with dynamic action. Bring it on!

How the natural forces of the universe affect the energies of the year is a fascinating subject called forecasting and refers to our Heaven Luck. I prefer the term forecast rather than prediction as I consider it more accurate and it also creates more psychological space to harness our Human Luck in order to better weather the forecast whereas prediction somehow sounds too final. We are never meant to feel victimized by the forecasts as this creates self-fulfilling prophecies, however, if we are forewarned we are forearmed and can fine-tune our strategies.

Year of Birth Forecast

The full Four Pillars Chinese Horoscope is based on the Year, Month, Day and Hour of birth and is very bespoke to the individual. This forecast is based on the YEAR only, so it will provide a very general outlook for each animal sign and is meant to help you weaken or avoid bad luck, and increase your alignment to the good luck. Please do understand that both your individual detailed horoscope and the Feng Shui of your home or office will greatly contribute to how you combine with the energies and if you want to engage at a deeper level then consider having your full horoscope ‘opened’ or a full professional Feng Shui consultation. DIY horoscopes or Feng Shui are not recommended!

Wishing you a peaceful, healthy and prosperous 2014 Year of the Wood Horse!

General overview of the Year of the Wood Horse

Finally, we are out of the mixed quality of the two previous years which have highlighted where we are still undecided or confused and helped bring clarity to our lives (if we’ve done the work that is) with which to move forward this year. The Horse is fundamentally a fire element creature and this is supported by the Wood heavenly stem, so the year will be a lot smoother emotionally than last year with its fire/water clash.

The Ba Zi Chinese Horoscope of the year remains weak like last year, with metal and water as supporting elements.

How to work out your Chinese Animal sign?

For those of you born from in the months of January to November you take the year of your birth from the lists below, however, if you are born around the Winter Solstice i.e.. between 20 Dec to 31 Dec then you will belong to the following year for example, someone born on 26th December 2009 might think they are an Ox but in fact the energy of the year has renewed at Winter Solstice and now become the Tiger i.e.. 2010.  You do not work out from the Spring Festival dates in February as this is inaccurate.

hRat 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020, 2032, 2044
The Rate is opposed to the Horse leader of the year, so you need to wear red thread around your waist and invest in a protective jade charm – consult us to select a suitable jade charm for your unique horoscope. Depending on your type of Ba Zi chart (Eight Characters or Four Pillars) this year could bring the best out in you or see you thwarted and weakened. There could be advantageous combinations between your chart and the year chart and lucky stars present as a result of the horse.

In general though you might be better off simply actioning small yet necessary tasks, taking stock and doing ‘housekeeping’ type activities this year that depend more on your own efforts rather than heaven luck. Don’t attempt anything too ambitious this year unless partnered with people of other animal signs in a “good fate”.

There could be a lot of negativity around you as there are some terrible stars in the North this year, so just be mindful that you matter, you are strong, your voice counts and you can withstand the maelstrom that might be headed your way. This makes it even more important to have your Feng Shui as supportive as possible and to spend time in places or climates that support you best. In fact, the T’ai Soi can be a real ‘pattern breaker’ of a year and help you find the motivation to break out of any traps in thinking or behaviour or in living situations and really follow your heart and go for your dreams.

The Rats born in 1948, 1972 and 2008 need to avoid going to funerals or hospitals this year and if they must, then they are to turn their back as the coffin goes into the ground (or the coffin goes into the cremation furnace). Dangerous places like cliff edges or dark alleyways at night are also to be avoided.

The best ally for the Rat this year will be the Monkey. I would also caution that the Rat take care of their kidneys/bladder this year as the Flying Stars will reconnect you with your workaholic nature, so make sure you take plenty of spa breaks/holidays near water as these will be a good investment in your wellbeing, not purely a ‘cost’, as many people often fear. Even just having regular salt baths or swimming will help to support the water energy.

hOx 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021, 2033, 2045
The Ox is under pressure this year and could experience illness, particularly feverish infections or sunstroke. In fact, any Ox like animal could become sick this year and the price of beef rise. Despite this, the Ox could do well in government or corporate related jobs this year.

hTiger 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022, 2034, 2046
The Tiger benefits from the Jade Seal beneficial star, but also has the Year Crush against it which dilutes the beneficial influence. Happily though it has a strong ally in the Horse which is the leader of the year and the Wood energy of the first six months will be particularly supportive.

hRabbit 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023, 2036, 2047
The Rabbit is in a strong position this year and has The General, an auspicious and powerful star accompanying Wah Koi, the Clever but Lonely star so my advice would be to progress important projects that require your undivided attention as this is not the year for relationship but for singleminded focus. If already in a happy relationship just make it clear that you might need either extra space or extra clear communication this year. Rabbits born in 1939, 1963 and 1999 need to avoid going to funerals or hospitals this year and if they must, then they are to turn their back as the coffin goes into the ground (or the coffin goes into the cremation furnace). Dangerous places like cliff edges or dark alleyways at night are also to be avoided.

Is your Feng Shui of your home or office as good as it can be?

hDragon 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024, 2036, 2048

The Dragon has the Earth Curse in his position this year so needs to be careful as the Earth is not stable, added to which the Water tomb of the Dragon is also upset by the curse, meaning that reservoirs and water’s edge are not good places to spend too much time this year for anyone, particularly the Dragon. Any animals resembling the Dragon (such as lizards) might find themselves under threat. Avoid investing in Dragon related symbols this year.  A good ally for the Dragon this year is the Rooster who is in a strong position.

hSnake 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013, 2025, 2037, 2049
The Snake has Jade Leaf, an auspicious wealth star and is also next to the Dragon Castle from which it can draw strength. The Snake will be vulnerable to misleading information this year and possibly even sexual intrigue, so be clear and careful in your communications with the opposite sex and also with any business or personal transactions so that there cannot possibly be any misunderstandings. Follow the old adage of ‘get everything in writing’.

hHorse 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954,1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014, 2026, 2038, 2050
The Horse is the Leader of the Year and the Wood or Fire Horse will be the strongest of all the different element horses (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal varieties). Despite being the leader there might still be a few hiccups this year especially within marriages – there could be relationship problems with the horse this year, especially sexual problems. The Horse carries an additional Leader star this year, so together with being the Year Leader 2014 will be a perfect chance to step into leadership. Horses born in 1930 and 1990 need to avoid going to funerals or hospitals this year and if they must, then they are to turn their back as the coffin goes into the ground (or the coffin goes into the cremation furnace). Dangerous places like cliff edges or dark alleyways at night are also to be avoided.

hSheep 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015, 2027, 2039, 2051
The sheep has the Celestial Hook this year which is an inauspicious portent and there is also an earth/water crush in the SW which could lead to bladder or kidney problems with the Sheep. Avoid having a bedroom here, particularly if you are the middle son. Check with us for a full Feng Shui reading to give more bespoke advice.

hMonkey 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016, 2028, 2040, 2052
The Monkey has both the Money God and Golden Box luck this year and metal element is strong in the SW, its home position, so it should be a smooth year for you. Take extra special care of the SW area of your home, keeping it beautiful and organised. Regrettably, if it is a storage cupboard or bathroom the money luck will not be so strong. The fire of the horse might tone down the strength of the metal Monkey somewhat but nothing too difficult, and could in fact help to make the Monkey more creatively inspired.

hRooster 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017, 2029, 2041, 2053
Metal energy is strong in the West so the Rooster should a good year particularly with The General, a protective star in their favour. The fire of the Horse could challenge the metal of the Rooster a little, but it is not too severe a clash and will likely just make the Rooster even more vocal and expressive than usual. If you are the type of Rooster which has a Four Pillars chart not requiring additional Metal element then your fortunes would be a little different and you’d need to consider commissioning a full horoscope reading to discover what elements and directions are best for you this year, particularly regarding health, love and wealth. The Rooster born in 1981 needs to avoid going to funerals or hospitals this year and if they must, then they are to turn their back as the coffin goes into the ground (or the coffin goes into the cremation furnace). Dangerous places like cliff edges or dark alleyways at night are also to be avoided.

hDog 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018, 2030, 2042, 2054
The Dog has the inauspicious Big Dipper star so they need to be careful of air travel again this year as Big Dipper has an affinity with the heavens. Metal is very strong in the NW which could drain the natural Earth element of the Dog. Again, much depends on what type of Chinese Horoscope you are which would help assess precisely the impact of each direction and element on you in terms of health, love, career and wealth.

hPig 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019, 2031, 2043
The strong metal in the Northwest supports the Pig and he has the Golden Branches – a wealth related star, however, the presence of Robbery & Kill can make the Pig vulnerable to muggings or attacks this year. Avoid dark alleyways and walking alone at night in strange or hostile places more this year than usual. Take extra care in all financial transactions to make sure you are not being ‘robbed’.
