Bespoke Rug Design Collaboration – Tai Ping

INTERIORS, DESIGN

In collaboration with designer Annette Nix during her time at Tai Ping, I conceived the design for this bespoke ripple rug, reflecting the movement of water in the nearby canal and bringing a dynamic visual rhythm into the apartment.

Across the wider interior scheme, colours, shapes and design elements were guided by Feng Shui analysis of the apartment’s compass orientation together with the client’s Chinese astrology, creating a design language tailored specifically to the space and its occupants.

The completed apartment developed a reputation among visitors for its particularly harmonious atmosphere, while the client noted that he slept deeply and comfortably in the space.
